Previous Red Bull chief Christian Horner is reportedly "getting in touch with most team bosses" as he attempts a re-entry to grand prix racing, per Aston Martin F1 CEO Andy Cowell.

Aston Martin is included in the teams that are connected to the former chief.

Cowell stated he had checked the circumstances with squad proprietor Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Singapore Grand Prix.

"It looks as though Christian is contacting nearly every team principal at the moment," stated the CEO.

"I can definitively state there are no intentions for the engagement of Christian in an operational or investment role in the future."

Additional Squads Comment

Haas boss Ayao Komatsu stated that the former Red Bull leader had "approached" the American squad but noted: "Things haven't advanced. It is finished."

The Renault-owned team executive director Steve Nielsen revealed the organization's advisor and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "long-standing acquaintances" with the former principal.

The Alpine director added: "I have no knowledge what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no intentions for Christian to come to Alpine but that isn't to say it might not transpire."

The historic British team team principal James Vowles stated that Horner had not approached them.

"We're content with the structure we have and it's working," the team principal said. "I see no justification to change from that."

Historical Information

Horner is able to come back grand prix racing by the middle of next year after finalising a severance package with his former team on the 22nd of September.

The 51-year-old was let go as the team's leader after the Silverstone race in July.

Several informants at the organization have suggested the settlement package was worth 60 million euros (52 million pounds).
